Authentic Japanese Kitchen Knife
Discover this high-quality Japanese Chef’s Knife (Gyuto), made in Tsubame City, Japan.
Features of this Knife
This premium kitchen knife is engineered with a molybdenum vanadium steel core and reinforced by 13-chrome stainless steel outer layers, delivering outstanding sharpness, durability, and rust resistance for everyday and professional use.
The Gyuto is the Japanese interpretation of the Western chef’s knife. With its slightly curved edge and sharp pointed tip, it offers excellent versatility for slicing, chopping, and precision cutting. This balanced design makes it a favourite among both professional chefs and home cooks.
The blade is professionally sharpened using rough and medium grinders and undergoes a specialised heat treatment process—heated to 1050°C and cooled to -155°C—to achieve superior hardness and toughness, ensuring consistent cutting performance.
The knife features a seamless one-piece construction with a hygienic handle designed to withstand high-pressure sterilisation. A metal bolster between the blade and handle enhances balance, hand protection, and visual appeal, with subtle variations that give each knife its own character.
