Graham –
The sharpness is excellent, and even though I haven’t sharpened it for a long time, it still maintains its edge.
It would be great if this brand offered a chef’s knife with a slightly longer blade, as that might make it even easier to use for certain ingredients. However, since they don’t carry one, it’s a bit disappointing—but the current length is still more than enough.

This knife is the best ever. So very happy with mine and would highly recommend it.
